Summary
The Associate Nursing Program Manager (ANPM) provides technical provisions to the Nursing Program Manager. The ANPM identifies/coordinates/facilitates and/or develops staff training sessions. Promotes the success of Nursing Program delivery in remote and isolated communities. Contribute to the day-to-day activities of Nursing services at Shibogama First Nations Council. Advocates and represents Shibogama and member communities at stakeholder and partner consultations. Supports all Health Projects and Programs contributing to organizational planning processes and success. Continuous Quality Improvements to Nursing Service Delivery in Remote and Isolated Communities.

Essential Qualifications
Graduation from a recognised Post Secondary Institution with a Diploma or Degree in a Health-Related Field (Health Administration, Human Ecology/Social Work, Indigenous Studies, Addictions, Mental Health, Nursing Services)
An acceptable combination of Education and Experience may be considered.
Good working knowledge in computer applications including Microsoft Office, Data Base Operations.
Excellent organizational skills, professionalism, and time management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with co-workers, communities, and candidates.
Ability to work independently and take initiative.
Ability to travel to remote and isolated member communities and job fairs in urban areas.
Asset Qualifications
Member or an Eligible Member of the Certified Nurses Association of Ontario.
Ability to communicate effectively in one of the dialects of the Treaty 5 and 9 Territories.
Persons of First Nations ancestry will be given preference (OHRC, Part II, Special Employment)
Knowledge and understanding of the Social Determinants of Health in First Nation Remote and Isolated Communities.
