Summary

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain internal databases with digital records related to employee information and health and safety training
  • Support new employee onboarding, prepare offer documentation, and conduct orientation sessions
  • Update company policies and FAQ Documents
  • Assist recruitment with reviewing resumes, cold sourcing candidates, performing phone screens and scheduling interviews
  • Prepare correspondence, arrange meetings, and process confidential reports and documents
  • Maintain/support personnel files (electronic & paper) and ensure compliance with record keeping regulations.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee issues
  • Handle all employee queries, written or verbal with the utmost confidentiality
  • May participate in job fairs and in-house recruitment events
  • Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with the office leadership and staff
  • Offer general administrative assistance to the office leader, including managing schedules, organizing meetings, and handling correspondence
  • May be required to sit on internal committees as office management representative
  • Other duties as assigned

What We Require:

  • Degree, diploma, or certificate in Human Resources or a combination of education and experience is required.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment and talent acquisition (sourcing, screening and interviewing) preferred
  • Previous experience with ADP, applicant tracking software, social media etc. an asset
  • Well rounded comprehension of Human Resources principles, practices, employment standards, human rights, WCB and WSIB regulations an asset.
  • Employee Benefits calculation, WSIB calculation and Pension Plan calculations, monthly and yearly payments for all as required.
  • Preparation of T4 and year end calculation.
  • Website update as per the requirement.
  • Friendly and approachable - ability to build strong working relationships
  • Excellent phone mannerisms and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a busy office environment with limited lifting (20lbs)
  • Works with a sense of urgency, is well organized and capable of meeting deadlines
  • Front desk//Reception coverage in case of absence or sick call.
