Kasabonika Lake is pleased to celebrate the grand opening of their new Health Centre, the Emily Anderson Memorial Menoyawin Health Centre. This new state of the art health facility will help to ensure all the community members of Kasabonika Lake has access to improved health care services. This expansion provides additional functional and programming space to serve the community and health professionals. The official grand opening took place August 20th, when a ribbon cutting ceremony took place. In attendance were Chief and Council, Distinquished Community Elders, Community Members, the Honourable Bob Nault, John Paul Fournier and Steve Samuel of FNIHB, as well as representatives of Project Team, JV Wechimachida (KLFN & PennCo), Wickham Consulting and Shibogama First Nation Council.
